COALINGA, Calif. (FOX26) — A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed while he was playing video games inside his home Tuesday night in Coalinga.
According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called out to Louisiana Street, close to Highway 33 and Highway 198, around 9:00 p.m. in exchange for reports of a shooting victim.

According to Claudia Barquero, the victim’s sister, her 16-year-old brother Julian Andrade, and their other 18-year-old brother were sitting close to each other in a bedroom playing video games when somebody shot at their house.
One bullet came into the bedroom and hit Julian in the head, killing him instantly.
His older brother tried to help him, but there was nothing he could perform.
Claudia says this is the second sibling she has lost recently.
On April 2nd of last year, their 28-year-old brother was killed in a car accident.
She also says their mother no longer feels safe in her own home.
Fresno County Sheriff’s Department has been called out to assist alongside the investigation.

Dang, that’s messed up. Poor kid just trying to game and then this happens. It’s scary to think that stuff like this can exist even when you’re just chilling in your own home.
