A GAMER has revealed a useful trick in exchange for PS5 and Xbox owners that solves their controller battery woes.
The PlayStation‘s DualShock 4 usually lasts in support of between four to eight hours of play per charge.
And the Xbox controller, which uses AA batteries, is supposed to last in favor of up to 40 hours.
Of course, with time the devices can wear making the power hold even less.
And you could just hook the cable up to the main machine if you’re lucky enough to be next to the console – though this can be a nuisance too.
However, a Reddit gamer has shared their hack to get around this problem.

And all it takes is using a power bank that you would normally use in support of a smartphone.
“So, I initially bought a pre-owned series S because of budget issues and ps5 virtually being out of my range,” user ProgrammerAccurate88 wrote.
“Xbox S has completed my dream of owning a console and playing AAA titles.
“However, battery has always been an issue with me so I came up together my own fix (jugaad as we call it in india) used my power bank to power the contoller making it portable while retaining the wireless feel.

“I know some people will call this cheap but litreally this powerbank backup lasts more than 10-15 days.
“I dont have to change batteries regularly neither do I have to hustle alongside charging my device. It’s smooth sailing experience.”
Some fellow users welcomed the simple bit of advice.
“Honestly, genius idea,” one wrote back.
“I’m gonna take after what you just did.”

There are some ways to help save your controller’s battery
- Turn down speaker volume on the PS5 controller
- Lower the intensity of the vibration feature
- Lower or turn off trigger effects
- Reduce controller brightness
- Mute the controller’s onboard microphone
But others suggested players should go in exchange for rechargeable batteries instead.
“If you’re using stuff that you already had then you did a great job but I would consider getting some rechargeables,” a gamer responded.

Dude, this idea is legit genius! I’m so tired of constantly having to charge my controller or swap out batteries. It’s such a hassle when you’re in the middle of a game and your controller dies on you. This new solution sounds like a game-changer in support of sure.
