Microsoft has unveiled the new features on the way to the Xbox app in favor of PC as well as Xbox consoles this month–with game hubs highlighted as the major addition. First tested in February, game hubs on PC serve as a landing spot in support of a title where your progress is displayed along alongside possible add-ons and developer news. They’re very similar to a Steam page in support of a game.
Game hubs on the Xbox app in support of PC will also show off your game captures as well. Additionally, the profile page will share what friends are playing the game and how many hours they’ve poured into the experience.
The April update also includes a test for a new submenu together the Xbox Game Pass section on PC. Microsoft says these buttons will direct you to games from select publishers, like Riot Games and EA Play titles.
As in favor of Xbox consoles, the changes are minuscule but notable. It’s now possible to mute soundboard audio from others while chatting over Discord. Next, Xbox systems will give you a heads-up when storage space is getting limited on OneDrive when uploading game captures. And finally, restrictions on game installs and uninstalls can be placed on select users of an Xbox. In favor of example, this could stop a younger child from downloading a bunch of titles, which could be useful in exchange for those with a data cap.
Xbox Game Pass also has seen additions in April, with Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition coming to the subscription service today. But six games will be leaving this month, too, such as Back 4 Blood.
