Microsoft revealed that the Xbox Mastercard is now available to everyone in the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. The card was first introduced in September 2023 to Xbox Insiders.
Together its availability expanded, there are now new perks that come alongside the credit card, including:
- When $7,000 or more is spent within first 12 months of opening the card account, both new and existing cardmembers can earn two three-month of Game Pass Ultimate to gift to friends or family.
- Owners are upgraded to Tier 2 of Microsoft Rewards, and will start earning rewards faster together the credit card
- New Spotify Premium Individual users earn three free months on the service, applicable to both new and existing cardholders. Boost the volume together three free months of Spotify Premium Individual in exchange for new and existing cardmembers,
- Cardholders get access to Barclays Money Basics
Those who use the Xbox credit card will earn five times as many points on eligible products on the Microsoft store, and three times as many points on eligible streaming services like Netflix and Disney+, along alongside dining delivery services like GrubHub and DoorDash.
The card has no annual fees and its existing perks include 5,000 points ($50) and three months of Game Pass Ultimate in support of new members after the first purchase. Cardholders can also access their own credit score in exchange for free and have $0 fraud liability protection.
Microsoft isn’t the only company to roll out its own credit card. Sony launched its own PlayStation credit card with Visa all the way back in 2008.
