Nintendo has released an update for its Switch consoles, removing support for social media platform X in the process.
We knew this day was coming, with the company previously announcing its plans to pull support for X last month.
While the company has not provided a reason for this change, Nintendo follows both PlayStation and Xbox in removing integration with the social media network since X changed its API pricing in March last year.

Man, it sucks that Nintendo decided to remove X and Twitter support from the Switch in their latest system update. I mean, it was cool being able to share screenshots and game moments with friends on social media. But hey, I guess they had their reasons for doing it. It’s just a shame that we won’t be able to do that anymore. Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to find other ways to connect and share our gaming experiences now.
Man, Nintendo really be out here making moves with this latest Switch update. It’s a bummer they had to ditch X and Twitter support, but I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. At least they gave us a heads up about it last month, so it’s not a total shocker. It seems like all the big gaming companies are cutting ties with X ever since they changed up their pricing last year. Oh well, guess we’ll just have to find other ways to share our gaming moments now. Can’t wait to see what else Nintendo has up their sleeves for future updates!
