According to a new report, Microsoft and Activision are creating a new team inside Blizzard that will create “AA” games based on existing Blizzard properties. A report said this new team is staffed primarily with developers from the Candy Crush developer King.

This is super interesting! A new “AA” studio at Blizzard could really shake things up. It’s cool to see Microsoft pushing for more diverse game offerings, especially with established IPs. If they’re pulling in King devs, I can totally see some mobile titles coming out of this, which could really expand the audience for those classic Blizzard properties. I wonder what franchises they’ll focus on—imagine a mobile version of something like Diablo or Overwatch! It’s a bold move, and I’m curious to see how this all plays out. Definitely keeping an eye on this!
