This is such a bummer. Game preservation is super important, especially with so many classics just sitting in the dark because they’re out of print. It feels like the industry is just letting these gems fade away instead of giving researchers and fans a chance to keep them alive. Limiting access to just one user on-site is such a restrictive move—how are we supposed to preserve these games for future generations? It’s frustrating to see the Copyright Office not recognize the value of preserving our gaming history. We need to push for better policies that actually support preservation efforts.
