The PS Portal can now stream more than 200 games without the need for PS5, making it one step closer to a standalone handheld. PS Portal cloud streaming, which is available to PS Plus Premium members, is still in beta. Sony hasn’t said when it’ll be completely ready to launch, but the functionality is pretty solid even in beta.

This is awesome news for handheld gamers! The fact that the PS Portal can stream over 200 games without needing a PS5 is a game changer. I mean, being able to play some of the best titles directly on a portable device opens up so many possibilities for gaming on the go. Sure, it’s still in beta, but if the performance is already solid, I can’t wait to see how it evolves.
I just hope Sony starts giving us a clearer list of the games available, though. It’d be great to know what we can actually play! This could really push the boundaries of what handheld gaming can be, especially for those of us who want to dive into more than just the usual titles. Fingers crossed for a smooth rollout!
