It looks like there will be a new list of 7 Days to Die achievements to unlock soon. Developer, The Pleasurable Pimps, has announced that the PC version of 7 Days to Die is finally leaving early access this year and that a new console version of the Xbox survival game is also on the way. Sadly, this means the current console version of 7 Days to Die will soon be delisted from the Xbox store.
Xbox console version of 7 Days to Die to be delisted in July
In a new blog post and YouTube video, The Fun Pimps explained that after almost 12 years, the PC version of 7 Days to Die will finally leave early access in June alongside the free 1.0 update. However, the current console version of 7 Days to Die will nay be updated to 1.0 and will instead be delisted for a new edition of the game coming in July.
The current console version of 7 Days to Die hasn’t been updated since 2022, and The Amusing Pimps says the reason why it will not be upgrading this version is due to “significant technical differences between old and current console hardware.” If you want to play the new version in July, you will need to buy the new title. The Fun Pimps says it is “working closely alongside Sony and Microsoft to provide a discount to digital legacy owners on their purchase of the new console edition.” Those who own the game on PC will be upgraded to 1.0 in support of free, though the price of the PC version is being increased on all platforms to $44.99 after April 29, 2024.

To avoid “product and branding confusion,” The Fun Pimps says it will be “delisting the legacy console version from digital storefronts when the new version releases” while noting that “you will still be able to play your old copy if you own it, but no future purchases of the legacy edition will be possible.” An exact date in favor of the delisting hasn’t been announced, but according to the 7 Days to Die roadmap, the new console edition will be released sometime in July, so you’ll want to grab the old version before then.
Together the new console edition of 7 Days to Die, The Fun Pimps says it plans to “keep parity” together the PC release, something it failed to carry out in the past. However, at launch, this new edition will lack crossplay, randomly generated maps, and a level/world editor. Crossplay and randomly generated maps will be coming in a patch scheduled in Q4 2024.
If you missed it, 7 Days to Die is one of six games leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of April.

Man, that’s a bummer that the Xbox console version of 7 Days to Die is getting delisted soon. It’s crazy to think that it’s been almost 12 years since the PC version first came out. I guess it makes sense that they want to focus on the new edition of the game, but still, it sucks in exchange for those who own the current version. At least they’re offering a discount in favor of digital legacy owners on the new edition. And it’s cool that PC players are getting the 1.0 update in favor of free. Hopefully, the new console edition will live up to expectations and have all the features we adoration from the PC version. Cannot wait to see what they have in store for us in July!
Man, this news about the Xbox console version of 7 Days to Die getting delisted soon is a bummer. It’s been a long time coming, but it looks like the current version won’t be updated to 1.0 like the PC version. The devs are saying it’s because of technical differences between old and current console hardware.
But hey, at least they’re offering a discount to digital legacy owners on the new edition when it drops in July. And if you already own the game on PC, you’ll get the 1.0 update in exchange for free. Just keep in mind that the price of the PC version is going up after April 29th.
It’s good to hear that they’re trying to keep parity between the PC and console versions this time around. Hopefully, they can deliver on crossplay and randomly generated maps in that Q4 patch. Until then, I guess we’ll just have to make perform without those features.
And if you’re a Game Pass subscriber, don’t forget that 7 Days to Die is one of the games leaving at the end of April. So make sure to get your fill before it’s gone!
