Metal Slader Glory is such an interesting piece of gaming history! It’s wild to think about how a game can flop so hard and still have such a big impact on the industry. HAL’s struggles with that title really shaped their future and their bond with Nintendo. It’s a shame it never made it outside Japan, though. I wonder how different things would be if it had gotten a proper release in the West. It’s like a hidden gem that most people don’t even know about! Makes you appreciate the risks developers take and how they can lead to unexpected successes down the line.
