GTA 6 being exempt from the SAG-AFTRA strike is definitely a mixed bag. On one hand, it’s exciting to think about the game still moving forward, especially after all the hype and anticipation. But it kinda sucks for the voice actors and other talent who are fighting for fair treatment. It feels like the gaming industry is just sidestepping the bigger issues at play. I get that projects already in development are in a tricky spot, but it’s hard not to feel for those who are left out of the conversation. Hopefully, this doesn’t mean we’ll see more games getting the short end of the stick in the long run. Just want everyone involved to get what they deserve, you know?
