It’s wild to hear Yoshida admit the PS Vita’s dedicated memory cards were a mistake. I mean, it was such a bummer having to shell out extra cash for those proprietary cards just to store games. It definitely felt like they were trying to squeeze more money out of us instead of just giving us a solid gaming experience. Plus, with all the other options out there for memory, it just made things complicated.
And the touchpad? Yeah, that was pretty unnecessary too. It was cool in theory, but in practice, it didn’t really add much to the gameplay. It’s interesting to see how even the big players in the industry can look back and realize where they went wrong. Hopefully, they take these lessons to heart for future handhelds!
